1950s Coral & gold beads with gold sequins, gold lame sheath cocktail dress by Wilson Abbott Wilson Folmar.
This is an amazing dress that has survived time in very good wearable condition. The scoop neck princess seamed dress is trimmed in beautiful coral colour beads and gold glass seed beads, sewn throughout are tiny gold sequins. The neckline is trimmed in draped coral colour beads with swags of looped gold glass seed beads below. Trailing foliage motifs with circular sequin flower motifs each set with a different coloured jewel. The dress bodice is scooped and low in the back, the skirt has a seamed waist and is fitted with hip darts. The dress hem is trimmed with short swags of gold glass looped seed beads, alternating roundels of beads and sequins. The dress closes at the back with a painted metal zipper with a hook & eye at the neck top. The bodice is lined in coral rayon, that matches the coral beads, the skirt is lined in white rayon.
In very good pre owned condition, there are a few tiny sequins missing but they are not seen. All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear. Any condition issues will be noted. For visual comparison our mannequin is a size 4.
