Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture Tuxedo Coat dress c. 1980
Possibly Yves Saint Laurenta's biggest contribution to fashion was the tuxedo suit, which he designed in 1966. Yves was the very first person to dress women in suits. Women who had began to get used to joining the work force and exerting their free will felt liberated by the suit and it became a world wide sensation. This empowered and androgynous style is huge in the fashion industry these days.
