1920's Austrian Couture Metallic Deco Handmade Crochet Knit Flapper Jacket Coat

Extremely stylized Art-Deco coat which could easily be a Wiener Werkstatte made for export. Rich polychrome glossy rayon crochet in shades of gray, blue & ivory created to resemble artistic fish scales. The metallic-gold thread accents really make this garment sparkle. A labor intensive piece like this would have been very high-quality at the time. The effortless shape makes this a timeless classic. An exceptional piece of 1920's wearable art. Measurement Bust:38 inches Hips:40 inches Sleeve Length:24 inches Total Length:46 inches This antique Austrian jacket is in excellent condition with no notable stains or discoloration. Only sign of age is a few breaks to the knit which are not noticeable when worn. This piece is over 80 years old and is truly stunning. The last picture is of a museum Wiener Werkstatte piece so you are clearly see the resemblance.
