About the Item
This rare vintage 90s DRIES VAN NOTEN piece comes from the estate of MARILYN LEWIS! Lewis was the founder and designer of the highly sought after Cardnali fashion house in 1966! Her pieces were sold at Neiman Marcus, Saks, Bergdorf Goodman, to name a few. She was known for her keen eye to fashion, and was consistently on the best dressed list in the society pages!
This Dries Van Noten Avant Garde trench jacket / blouse comes from her personal archives, purchased from her estate in Los Angeles. Features a brown silk pinstriped bodice, made to look like a cropped blazer. Attached seimi sheer sleeves and body. Pocket at each side of the hips. Two buttons up the front. Exaggerated collar lapels. Burnt orange, red, hunter green and brown tribal ethnic prints throughout the chiffon sleeves and body. Can easily be dressed up or down. Great with jeans or shorts for a more casual daytime look, and perfect over trousers, a skirt, or over a dress for evening. Can also be worn as a blouse.
1990s Dries pieces are extremely hard to come by. I have seen a few, but never one of this quality and condition! In great condition.
