Wonderful styling and details define this 1940s jacket in beige gabardine, most notably the gores in back, which narrow from the shoulders to the waist, where a self-tie cinches it in, and then widen into a curved peplum with flare. The single-breasted front is shaped and features a petal collar along with three bound buttonholes and gold tone buttons in a knot motif. Generously full sleeves are finely gathered at the padded shoulders and cuffed at the wrists, where bound buttonholes of differing lengths and matching buttons offer a finishing touch.
