1970s Jeff Banks Cream Bell-Sleeve Crop Top with Drawstring Waist

About the Item

This 1970s voluminous shirt is by celebrated British designer Jeff Banks and is loosely tailored from breezy semi-sheer cotton-dacron in a pale yellow hue. This sporty top has a bibbed, polo-shirt neckline; the wide collar and open neckline secured with four white buttons printed with the words “king regiment 7L” in orange font. The sleeves play to the era’s penchant for bohemian tailoring and are wide and billowing bell-sleeves with an elasticated cuff. The top is cut to a laid-back, slouchy fit and falls to a cropped length that has a panelled bottom hem containing a drawstring in tonal cotton. The top is unlined. This shirt is in excellent vintage condition - it looks barely worn with no issues. The composition label reads 50% Dacron, 50% Cotton. The size on the label states that this is a UK 10, but please double-check the measurements below as vintage sizes tend to run very small. This is better suited to modern sizes UK 6-8 or US 2-4. Our model's sizes are: Bust: 31" (80cm), Waist 25" (64cm), Hips: 34" (87cm) and 5' 4" (164cm) and she's a size UK 6, US 2. This top was a great fit on her. MEASUREMENTS BUST - 34 in.
