Vintage Pierre Cardin 1970s Navy Leather Wooden Platform Mules, Size 8 Rare
About the Item
Striking vintage Pierre Cardin platform mules dating to the 1970s, crafted in deep navy leather and set atop sculptural wooden platforms and heels. A signature Pierre Cardin metal insignia adorns the outer side of each shoe, complementing the bold architectural silhouette and innovative design sensibility that made Pierre Cardin one of the most influential designers of the era.
Recently professionally restored by The Leather Spa in New York City. Restoration work included replacement of the original bottom soles, conditioning of the leather uppers, and refinishing of the wooden platforms and heels. The shoes are ready to wear and present beautifully.
The leather is a very deep navy blue that may appear nearly black depending on lighting conditions. The rich wood platforms provide a striking contrast to the dark leather, emphasizing the shoes' sculptural form and timeless modern appeal.
