Jean Desses couture garments are rare, unique and highly collectible. This exquisite ensemble dates back to when Jean Desses closed his couture house at 17, Avenue Matignon and continued designing from No. 12 Rond-Point-des-Champs-Elysees until 1963 when he retired. The fabric itself is breathtaking; unique impressionist printed metallic-lame in sparkling gold, orange & aqua. I adore the fully-boned, meticulously tailored low-cut plunge bodice with seductive backless design. The matching coat is fully-lined in soft velvet which feels heavenly against the skin! Just look at the chic cocoon shape with stand-up collar. The workmanship and time spent to construct this set is astonishing and it is a true piece of fashion couture history.
