Vivienne Westwood's son Joe Corre opened the first lingerie boutique for his sexy London-based brand Agent Provocateur in Soho in the mid-1990s, when the sole owner of this black lace-overlay and lace-trimmed swimwear set acquired it. Ideal for wearing under today's fashionable transparent clothing, the pieces can double as hot-weather sportswear given their soft synthetic grey underlayer that was designed for use in water.
Although the top is marked U.K.-size "S" and the other tags were removed from the bottoms, the pair will fit up to a U.S.-size 8 given the boy-brief style low-rise stretch shorts and the adjustable string-tied halter-shaped bra.
Notably, the top has a complex construction with two kinds of lace and unusual angles, couching, bands and darts, which enables it to enhance a small chest or accommodate a large one.
More so, the bottoms of the shorts are trimmed entirely around the legs in lace rather than along the waist, which encourages the eye to travel from bust to thighs.
