Bonnie Cashin joined handbag manufacturer Coach in 1962 and launched its women’s accessories division to nationwide acclaim. Though all her original handbags enjoy reverential collectible status, this square double kisslock remains one of her most famous designs for its size, functionality and iconic striped interior. This one is made all the rarer because it bears the Bonnie Cashin signature instead of the enamel Coach plaque. Vintage double-handle saddle leather handbag with large open main compartment and double kisslock clasps on either side for two additional compartments; interior pocket on main compartment only. Brasstone metal findings and bottom feet; fully lined in early Coach/Cashin multicolor stripe silk.
