Set of 3 Khmer Bronze Palanquin

About

These Palanquin rings were used to slide a wooden pole trough which carried a litter. In this litter the aristocracy was transported and naturally the adornments of the carriage was meant to display the wealth and importance of their passengers. This is clearly visible in the details of these objects which are Masterly crafted. Overall they display the famous elegance of the Khmer culture (12-15th century, Cambodia). One is 15cm high, one 22 cm and one 25 cm or 5.9, 8.6 and 9.8 inches.
