19th Century Imari Japanese Meiji Scalloped Bowl

This petite Japanese porcelain bowl dates from the Meiji era (1868-1912) and is boldly hand painted with deep rich blue and cinnabar enamel. The well of the bowl features a flower basket design. The sides are also handsomely decorated. Unusual scalloped edge.
