A truly fantastic and rather unique piece. The collectors we have shown have gone gaga over this piece.
Beautifully crafted and glazed with amazing detail to facial features.
Signed by the artist.
Listing as Meiji period but very possibly from the Edo period.
Would make for a great addition to any Japanese/ Asian ceramic collection or eye-catching stand-alone work in about any setting. We have not seen another quite like it. Comes with a custom-made wood base.
