Antique Satsuma Platter Bearing Eight Scenes from O'mi District Signed
About the Item
Stunning late 19th century Satsuma platter bearing eight scenes from the O'mi District. They are:
- Moon view O'zu
- Hikone Castle
- Ukimi Pagoda at Katada
- Sole pine tree at Karasaki
- Bell of Mitsui Temple
- Twighlight snow at Hira
- Bridge at Seta
- Returning boat with sails at Yabase
The piece is spectacular but does have a fracture running down the middle of the platter. The piece has been priced commensurate with this damage.
