About

This squat, rectangular piece of tomb pottery features an arched door below a trapezoidal pediment, three circular openings on its top and an incised, decorative border in a geometric pattern. Its light green glaze has developed a handsome patina. Commonly used vessels like vases, pots and bowls were a traditional part of Han burials to provide for the deceased in the afterlife. Ceramic models of houses and farm structures such as this were also included.
