Chinese Porcelain Bowl Hand Painted Famille Rose, Qing Qianlong, circa 1760

About the Item

This is a finely hand painted Chinese Export porcelain bowl from the 18th century, Qing dynasty, Qianlong period, 1736-1795. The bowl is beautifully decorated with two panels of figure scenes alternating with two magenta border panels. The figural scenes include three ladies in all having hand painted gold highlights in their hair, with both scenes in outdoor settings with a fence, trees, and houses. The design is hand painted over-glaze with rich polychrome enamels of green, red, pink, burnt orange, blue and magenta all in varying shades. The inner bowl has a hand painted border around the rim with a symbol in the base of the bowl. The bowl is unmarked to the base.
