About
A stunning and rare Chinese Qianlong porcelain blue and white shallow dish finely decorated with a central five claw imperial dragon chasing a flaming pearl through clouds. The pattern is repeated around the outside rim of the dish with simple line borders. The dish has a blue Qianlong seal mark to the base and dates from the period 1735-1796. In excellent condition with a few minor marks in the glaze.
Provenance: fresh to market, from the private collection of a Portuguese gentleman and acquired in Portobello Road, London in the early 1950's, and acquired directly from the family.
