Chinese Qing Guangxu Famille Noire Porcelain Baluster Dragon Vase

About
A well decorated antique Chinese Kangxi mark Famille noire porcelain baluster shaped vase dating from the 19th century. This tall and impressive vase is decorated with two large arched panels, one painted with a dragon and phoenix bird and the other with the dragon transitioning from the carp above choppy waves. With decorative bands around the lower and upper vase the body is decorated with further smaller cartouches painted with precious objects, foo dogs and other typical Chinese decoration and there are set with a heavily patterned surround with butterflies and flowers on a black ground. The vase has a six character Kangxi mark to the base however believe it was made in the Guangxu period in the latter 19th century. Offered in good condition with a small area of surface glaze loss within the banded patterning around the lower body.
Provenance: Property of a late gentleman collector, Norfolk.
