Chinese Sang de Boeuf Oxblood Glazed Porcelain Vase


Beautiful Chinese export Sang de Boeuf oxblood glazed porcelain vase. Features an unusually deep oxblood color with a glossy finish on the Langyao glaze. Typical whitish vertical runs under the top rim and around the lip with interesting deep blue runs on the inside of the body. The baluster form vase has Jingdezhen Zhi mark on the bottom and was produced by Southern China. Excellent and rare example from a region that has produced pottery since the 6th century A.D.
