Early 19th Century Large Blue And White Canton Covered Dish

About the Item

A fine and large blue and white Canton porcelain covered dish, richly hand painted with an elaborate village scene by the water. The piece features a beautifully modeled acorn finial on the lid and is heavily decorated both inside and out, a hallmark of early Canton export porcelain. The interior measures approximately 2 ½ inches deep, making it both visually striking and functional. The cobalt blue decoration remains vivid against the soft white glaze. China, circa early 1800s
