About the Item
A wonderful pair of Chinese export turquoise glazed porcelain models of hawks, Qing Dynasty, late 19th century, China.
The fierce birds of prey are well modeled and portrayed perched upon rocky outcrops with their heads slightly turned staring intently ahead, with beaks open in a triumphant screech. The hawks and the rocky outcrops glazed all-over in a rich turquoise glaze.
Made in China during the end of the Qing Dynasty, late 19th century, for export to the West.
