Large Antique Blue and White Fitzhugh Pattern Chinese Export Porcelain Vase

About the Item

A fine antique Chinese export porcelain vase in the Fitzhugh pattern. Decorated in underglaze blue with a trellis-diaper border with spearheads and dumb-bells to the rim, with fronds and the repeated trellis-diaper device to the neck, and with flowers, precious objects, and medallions to the body. Simply a classically wonderful vase! Date: Early 19th century Overall condition: It is in overall good to fair, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition details: There is some old professional restoration with overpaint (likely for old chips or flakes) around the circumference of the rim, a few existing chips or frits to the rim, some small open bubbles in the glaze, some very Fine and light glaze scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Measurements: Height circa 12 3/8 in. Diameter circa 10 1/2 in. Items purchased from this dealer must delight you. Purchases may be returned for any reason for a period of 7 days.
