Antique Japanese Shigaraki pottery Mizusashi (water container) with rough and raw finish. Japanese Mizusashi are used to store water during tea ceremony and this is a fantastic example of the wabi-sabi philosophy of appreciating natural forms with the patina of age. Meiji period, late 19th century. Dimensions: H 23cm x W 18cm x D 17cm.
