Pair of 19th Century Extra Large Japanese Palatial Fukukawa Vases, Meiji Period

About

Pair of exceptional 19th century extra-large Palatial Japanese Fukukawa (Imari district) vases of the Meiji period widening upward and indented on top. The vases show six different decors with rich and bright colors. Some of the decors are Japanese children playing in traditional costumes, on a gold background, traditional fish carps, and different others motives.  FUKUKAWA in the Imari district was a factory doing the most refined quality porcelain in Japan known for its detailed work, working mostly for the King, the Princes and the Royal Court.
