Art Deco Japanese Kutani Porcelain Vases Meiji Period, Pair

About the Item

A very beautiful pair of polychromed Kutani porcelain Japanese vases, circa early 20th century, Meiji period, Japan. Vases are hand painted and designed with two different sides; one side floral, the other with birds and butterflies. Beautiful Art Deco detail in the black, gold and green butterfly as show in close-up image #7. And more beautiful details at neck with cicada sculptures (close-up, image #10.) A red and gold design a base as shown in close-up image #7. Marking's on bottom, please see image #14. Colors include: white, red, black, emerald green, gold/copper, grey, yellow, and pink/purple. Measures: 11" Height.
