Lovely scalloped edge blue and white Japanese porcelain Imari Charger. The charger is decorated with Shochikubai meaning " three friends of winter", bamboo, pine and plum blossoms and together representing solid characteristics, good luck and happiness Separately Plum Blossoms represent hope and rebirth, Bamboo growth and endurance and the Pine Tree strength and masculinity. The rim is a continuous decorated band with medallions with birds. The rim in the back has stylized plum blossoms decoration. Beautifully hand painted and good quality. No condition issues. Measurements: 15 3/4 inches diameter x 2 1/4 inches high.
