19th Century Japanese Trunk

$1,450

About

This is a good example of a 19th century Japanese small lacquered trunk that retains its original hardware and has been fitted to an appropriate wrought iron stand. The trunk features a side-opening drawer to the bottom and retains its original hand-stamped lining paper. The trunk has been well-used and has acquired a deep natural patina, but remains in overall good condition with minor touch-ups. One small metal detail is lacking.
