Of rectangular form, the pair of square corner compound cabinets consisting of two sections, the top section known as hat chest and the lower section cabinet, each section with a pair of paneled doors and a removable middle stile, fitted flush within the solid constructed frame and decorated with circular brass lock plates and drop pulls, the top doors opening to an interior with a shelf, the lower doors with two shelves, a bottom sunken storage space behind a horizontal panel flush to the frame on the exterior, the side posts continuing to form the feet decorated with shaped aprons. Red lacquer over wood Hebei Province, 19th century Measures: 109cm W x 51cm D x 236cm H.
