Black Wooden Box from the Edo Period '18th-19th Century' in Japan

Introducing valuable items that only I, a Japanese, can find. A wooden box made in the Edo period. It's simple, but it has a very nice atmosphere. It is believed that it was made around the middle of Edo. It is thought that it was originally a store of rice. In other words, in Japan, the surface of wood is scraped using a knife called "cyouna(=adze)". Soot is piled up on the uneven surface and it becomes black. It took a very long time. This item is only available in the northern part of Japan. There are traces of worm-eaten. However, it has a solid structure. It is difficult to find such a wooden box in Edo in Japan today. It is very valuable. Can be used as a storage box. Also, because it is hard, it can be used as a chair. I highly recommend it.
