About the Item
Chinese Qing dynasty rosewood carved stool with rose marble inlaid seat. The intricate carving contrasts beautifully with the round rose marble inlay of the seat. This stool can easily be used as extra seating, a pedestal for a plant or piece of sculpture or a small side table next to a chair. I actually have used it as a coffee table flanked by a pair of somewhat shorter Qing dynasty stools and the three together make quite an
innovative coffee table when taken together. Late 19th century.

- Condition:Repaired: We reglued a couple of joints which had become loose. The stool is now very stable ; joints are tight and there is no movement at all when one sits on this elegant stool. Wear consistent with age and use.
