Ideal as a console or center table in the modern home, this exquisite 18th-century wine table charms with rounded legs, simple double stretchers, and decorative cloud-form spandrels. A fixture of China's time-honored history of wine making, the table would have been used as a gathering spot for serving wine and making group toasts. The table is minimally decorated and showcases the natural beauty of northern elmwood (yumu), darkened by a rich patina that only time can achieve.
