This early 20th century teak cabinet from the Northern Chinese port city of Tianjin has strong colonial influences from the Europeans living there at that time. It was likely designed with very shallow depth to accommodate books. The glass in the doors is original with character. The interior shelves are adjustable with ingenious wood grooves. The cabinet is shown stacked but the top and bottom sections can be separated.
