Japanese Black Lacquer Tana (Tiered Tea Cabinet) with Gold Family Crests, Covered with gold family crest designs. Made of lacquered wood and bronze mounts. Interior has wonderful renderings in gold of the gods of Japan (Ebisu and Daikoku), as well as a pair of shi-shi, or mythical lion-dogs. Originally made for storing tea ceremony implements.
