A Japanese antique low table or display stand, believed to date from the 1920s–1940s. Crafted from solid keyaki (Japanese zelkova), it celebrates the natural character of the wood in its purest form. The top is marked by numerous knots, openings, and natural fissures, creating a distinctive silhouette and an expressive surface. Rather than concealing these features, the maker embraced them, allowing the unique qualities of the timber to define the piece.
