Japanese Fine Gong Drum On Stand, 19th Century Immediately Playable

A fresh find from our recent Japanese Acquisitions Travels Ring in your dinner guests and enjoy its deep bold resonance Japan, a fine, large gong drum on its original stand, immediately playable and in remarkably good condition. It was crafted from leather and keyaki elm wood by Japanese master artisans during the Meiji period, 19th century. We will include a black sriker shown. Notice the quality leather and riveted construction of the drum and the carefully sculpted wooden frame. This instrument displays well from either side. A genuine treasure. Dimensions: 37 inches; high and 35 inches wide Provenance: From a Northern Kyoto private collection. We have been dealing in authentic Japanese and Chinese antiquities, garden ornaments, lanterns and water basins for twenty five years. Our president personally travels to Japan each year to meet his network partners who assist him in finding best examples. He personally inspects each antique work of art to ensure its old age, authenticity, and quality condition.
