Single 19th Century Chinese Horseshoe-Back Bamboo Armchair with Elm Base

About the Item

A 19th century Chinese armchair with horseshoe back and elmwood base. This Chinese horseshoe-back armchair was made in bamboo with an elmwood base in the 19th century. This chair ensures a great comfort thanks to its unusual horseshoe-back, which is adorned with typical Chinese geometrical fretwork patterns that reflects on the bright varnished seat. The arms are made of wavy bamboos, and the Stand is reinforced by an elmwood base. The bamboo is well varnished in a bright warm tint. With its sophisticated rustic appeal, this armchair would no doubt be an ideal armchair to find some rest, and would be an exotic and uncommon item in most dens, living rooms or bedrooms. We now have only one chair available, the price indicated is for the single chair.
