A very rare 19th/20th century Japanese bronze centerpiece of a flock of geese with heads cast in three dimensions, stamped and signed Gen Ryusai Seya. Each having gold inlaid eyes with all sections of their bodies hand-chassed with the finest quality. The bodies are all hand-chassed with fine decorations of feathers and elaborate details. The feet are further hand-stamped and hand-finished. The bottom is stamped and signed with a seal mark. Pieces of this quality, form, and size were usually sold at the World's Fair in the Japanese Pavilion. Japan, Circa: Meiji Period, 19th-20th century.
