Pair of Cast Iron Elephant Heads Bookends

About the Item

Cast iron elephant heads bookends. Elephant heads in dark bronze patinated color, nice quality and details sculpture. Great to use as bookends, paperweights, or decorative elephant sculptures around the house. Elephant heads in cast metal bronze with raised trunk. This high quality bronze was produced using the traditional 'lost wax' process. Fine details, nice patina, gracious proportions and size. In Chinese art, the elephant is a symbol of wisdom and strength. Elephant is also considered as a sacred animal in Buddhist traditions. Buddha is often depicted riding an elephant. This magnificent creatures are also regarded as auspicious figures in Thailand. Feng Shui experts suggest that the Feng Shui elephant should have its trunk facing upwards as that represents victory, good luck and prosperity. Size each: 6 in. x 6 in. x 6 in.
