Pair of Chinese Cloisonné Cylindrical Precious Object Vases

About the Item

An exceptional and stunning pair cylindrical Chinese cloisonné enamel sleeve vases dating from the early 20th century, probably late Qing. The tall pair of vases are brightly decorated in colored enamels on black grounds decorated with scholars and precious objects including censers, vases and other objects combined with scroll and floral designs and Buddhist and Daoist emblems set within formal decorative borders applied around the top and bottom edge. With brass rims to the top and base the vase is similarly decorated to the base with the customary turquoise enamel finish to the inside. The vases are not marked. Offered in good condition, one with a surface bruise to the base however the enamel is all intact.
