Japanese Antique Hanging Lantern/Casting Brass with Cherry Blossom
Located in Sammu-shi, Chiba
This is a cast brass lantern made in Japan from the Taisho period to the early Showa period (1900-1950). You can see that it is very finely decorated. It has a mesh pattern like a Japanese bamboo basket and has a cherry blossom petal design here and there. A very Japanese and beautiful design. It's very nice just to hang it with a chain, but you can also put a light bulb in it if you do the wiring work. There is a hole in the top of the head, so you can pass the wiring through that part. It's very nice to put it on the table and use it like a table lamp. No damage, good condition, ready to use. It is a recommended dish. There are very few shops in 1stdibs that carry such nice lanterns. We sell with...
