Chinese Export Snuff Bottle Porcelain Hand Painted with Hardwood Stand

This is a good Chinese porcelain snuff bottle, hand painted in cobalt blue and with a very good hardwood stand, all circa 1940. The bottle is hand painted over-glaze in shades of cobalt blue over a white glaze. The decoration shows two birds perched in flowering bushes with a similar painted design to the reverse. The bottle has a light green mottled stone stopper with a rounded top, fitted with a spoon. There are no markings to the base of the bottle. This snuff bottle comes with its own hardwood stand, hand worked and with coiled feet at either end. This stand is very decorative in its own right. Dimensions in inches; Bottle depth 0.8, width 1.75, height 2.8 Stand depth 1.9, width 2.44, height 0.75.
