Chinese Lamp with a Plique-A-Jour Shade

About the Item

Chines lamp with a plique-a-jour shade, circa 1900. Ovid shaped plique-a jour cloisonné shade with pierced wood cover and imitation carved coral finial on a wood turned baluster stem and hexagonal bronze Buddhist bell incised with writhing dragon, on a wood base. The lamp measures 24 25" inches high x 8" inches in diameter. Condition note: There are a few spot repairs to the plique-a-jour, but because of the busy pattern they are barely visible.
