An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Russian silver and polychrome cloisonné enamel goblet; an addition to our range of drinks related silverware. This exceptional antique Russian silver gilt goblet has a circular panelled, bell shaped form to a baluster shaped pedestal and domed circular foot. The panelled surface of this Russian goblet is embellished with fine and impressive cloisonné scrolling foliate sprays amidst bands of bead decoration using various tones of blue, green, red and cream sections of polychrome enamel. The alternating panels are ornamented with alternating coloured backgrounds, each executing a tonal colour gradient. Each arched panel is encompassed with applied silver gilt paralleling rope twist ornamentation. The upper portion of the body is embellished with further scrolling designs emanating from each incurve. The upper rim of this impressive goblet is encompassed with further applied rope twist decoration. The drinking vessel is supported by an impressive baluster shaped pedestal ornamented with further polychrome enamel ornamentation comprised of opposing scroll leaf motifs. The domed circular foot of this exceptional example of antique silverware reflects the ornamentation and tonal colour gradients to that of the body.
