18th Century Chinese Lacquer Screen, Ten Panels

This is an unusual and wonderful example of an 18th century Chinese lacquer table screen. The ten-panel screen is double-sided showing painted scenes of an Imperial figure to the front side with figures highlighted in gold; the reverse features incised lacquer panels of Chinese life with reserves of floral vases. All ten panels of the screen are present. The front panels have been touched up; the reverse panels appear to be original and in very good condition.
