About the Item

An equisite decorative and functional six panel folding screen / buôby, perfect as a room divider or large wall painting. In the style of Kanô Eigaku. The hand-painted screen depicts a apricot tree / ume with a pair of doves. Black ink on mulberry paper, delicate decor of gold-leif details. Black lacqyered wooden frame. Period: Japan, most likely Taishö, early 1900s. Total width circa 377. (2x64, 4x62)
