Early 20th Century Gracie Chinoiserie Style Wallpaper Panel Screen

$20,000

About

Fantastic Chinese early 20th century hand painted wallpaper panels mounted in a four-panel screen. Made in the manner and style of Gracie in the chinoiserie revival period mid-19th century through the early 20th century of Europe and the United States. Dramatic squares of silver ground that make the hand painted flora and fauna scenes boldly stand out. The color pigments have a beautifully faded patina that only comes from age. Set in a black lacquered substantial frame with brass embellishments. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
