About the Item

This one of a kind painting by John Brevard was one of the earliest in his collection. After a series of black and white drawings (now mostly sold) John created only 10 paintings of a similar style that were sold off early in his career. This one is the last of that series and depicts the many faces of ones personality. About the designer: John Brevard applies his background in architecture and multidisciplinary arts to create ethereal designs that are not only visually stunning but also conceptually powerful. Inspired by the principles of natural order, each creation is symbolic of the inseparable relationship of the part to the whole. After a near death experience, Brevard developed a fascination with proportions and patterns found in nature and theoretical sciences, namely sacred geometry and phenomenology. Brevard manifests this vision through an experience, which encompasses and merges design, fashion, architecture, and technology for an integrated new world. Orthofract/Blockchain: The Orthofract Blockchain collection features interlocking cubic forms, merging the form and formlessness. Derived from the Greek word orthos (“straight, erect”), these rectilinear fractal pieces are the artistic representation of records (blocks) being linked together into a chain (blockchain).
