The painting depicts three Shinto priests on a terrace in meditation. Edo period, 18th century. Ink and color paper and gold flakes. It is under glass and has a giltwood frame. Edo period, 18th century. Probably based on a book called "Tosa Nikki” by Ki no Tsurayuki (872-945). This artwork is shipped from Rome. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a license for export regardless of the work’s market price.
