Fine Antique Asian Painted Six-Panel Screen

A noteworthy Antique Asian six-panel screen. Elaborately decorated with large male and female figures in architectural settings- gilt frames with views outside, top panels with rocky landscapes with houses in the center, flanked by ones with parasols on the left two, and figures on baldachins on the right two. One left panel with a circle with dragon and bird motifs behind the figures. The lowermost panels with interlaced red decoration with rosettes. The black painted backs with overall gilt floral decoration. Size: H 84", each panel W 16" Overall condition is quite good with some age/use wear as well as some acceptable losses to the paint and frame lacquer (see photos), the screen displays exceptionally well.
