About the Item

A gorgeous four-panel Japanese Byobu folding screen depicting a nature scene/ floral landscape. The rich colors, use of gold dust, and beautiful hand-painted detail (on Japanese paper) of blooming flowers really helps makes this an attractive and special work. Likely mid to later Showa period (1926-1989). Original decorative period brass hardware adds another wonderful touch. Would be a great addition to any Japanese/Asian screen or art collection or make for an eye catching stand alone accent piece in about any setting whether used as a divider or hung on the wall as a work of art. Approximate dimensions when fully extended: 36" high, 72.5" wide, .75" deep. Approximate folded dimensions: 36" high, 18.5" wide, 2.75" deep.
